Napanee District Secondary School’s Napanee Academic Science Association, better known as NASA, fosters confidence and learning in math and sciences through a variety of workshops and one-on-one activities.

NASA is a student-run program that offers academic support to students through science-related activities and field trips outside the regular classroom. The NASA mentors, who are senior science students, also participate in a number of Queen’s University and Loyalist College science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) outreach events, and then share their new learning with the Grade 9s as well as Grades 7 and 8 students from feeder schools.

NASA has also supported Napanee’s School to Community students with various activities as well as running exam prep weeks, helping students with note preparation, practice questions and finding the style of learning that best suits them for future courses.
